The GAA club that covers the parish of Kiltullagh in Co Roscommon is Michael Glaveys.

The Michael Glavey G.A.A Club serves Ballinlough,Cloonfad,Granlahan, and the following families in Gorthaganny-Earley,Hurley,Gorman,Daly, & Morris. The Club was formed in January 1956, in Gorthaganny, by Peadar Earley.

Glavey’s originally covered two Parishes-Loughglynn and Kiltullagh, but Loughglynn Parish decided to form their own Club, Eire Ōg in 1984.

The club is named after Michael Glavey – a local man who was a member of the I.R.A , the military wing of Sinn Fein. He was a member of the Ballinlough Company of Volunteers, one of the nine Companies that made up the 1st Castlerea Battalion of the South Roscommon Brigade I.R.A. He reached the rank of Lieutenant.

He was killed by British forces after taking part in the burning down of a police barracks.
