Care of the Churches: Ballinlough: Sincere thanks to the people of Clooncalagy & Meelick who took care of the flowers during the month of May. Would the people of Foxboro & Keyfield look after the flowers during the month of June.

The Feast of Corpus Christi is on 23rd June. We hope to have the usual processions on that weekend. All the First Holy Communion children are invited to take part in these processions.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus is on Friday 28th June. The Novena starts nine days before this Feast.

The Summer collection of the support of the Priest of the Parish will be taken up at all masses on 8th and 9th June.

Knock Counselling Service are running a 4-evening Anger Management Programme beginning Tue 4th June @ 6.30. Contact Peter Devers 094 9375032.

Healing/ Anointing Catholic Ministry Service, Sun. 16th June 1.15 – 5.30 pm in the Church of The Holy Rosary, Castlebar, led by Fr. Shane Sullivan and lay speaker, Br. Eddie Stones. Legendary Country singer/songwriter Max T Barnes and his Nashville Country Band will play in a charity concert for the Western Care Association in Claremorris Town Hall Theatre on Sun June 9th as part of his 2019 Irish Tour.

This month marks 102nd anniversary of the first apparition of Our Lady of Fatima on May 13th 1917. Certain people in the Church and the world wanted Fatima to be forgotten. Even now, this most important event of the 20th century is studiously ignored by those who tell us what “history” means and where we are headed.

Carrick NS is advertising for the post of cleaner. The expected commencement date of the post will be 1st September 2019. This is a part time post of 9 hours per week, subject to annual review. The Cleaner will undertake other duties pertaining to the role as may be decided/directed by the School Principal/Board of Management and/or as may be dictated by the needs of the School.  Applications must be received by post or dropped to the school office by 2pm on Friday 14th June.
