World meeting of Families – August 2018

As a preparation for this meeting of families and as a help to all families, there is a card from St. Joseph’s Cluster with suggestions, it is available at the back of the church and will also be given out at the doors of the church.   Please take one and give it a try.

Pilgrimage to Knock:  Our own Pilgrimage to Knock will be on Sunday, May 6th.  You might note the date.   We will be going to Fatima at the end of August after the Novena in Knock and the Family Celebrations.

 

Dunmore Monthly Bingo on Sunday 14th January @ 4pm in Dunmore Community Centre.  Jackpot €500.   Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits.

Granlahan Card Game.  The first card game of 2018 took place last Monday night.   The usual game will be held on Monday night 15th Jan @ 8.30pm.   Many thanks for your continued support.

 

Catholic Schools Week begins Sunday 28th January.   The focus this year is on the family in preparation for the World Meeting of Families in Dublin 21-26th August.   Please God Pope Francis will be able to visit Ireland on this occasion.

 

Enrolment Night: Carrick NS will host an enrolment on Thursday 18th Jan. @ 7pm for parents hoping to enrol a child in Junior infants in Sept. 2018.   All new parents are welcome to attend on the night.   This will be an opportunity to meet the teachers, see our school and collect school enrolment pack. Enrolment forms will be available from the school throughout. the month of January.

 

Cluster Convenors Meeting: A meeting of the Cluster Convenors and representatives from the various clusters will take place in Knock House Hotel on Wednesday January 31st @ 8pm.   As we approach the conclusion of the 2013-2020 plan it is now envisaged that we begin to look at planning for the years after 2020.

Castlerea Parent and Toddler Group The Parent and Toddler Group continues to meet every Tuesday at 10am to 12pm in the Roscommon Women Network, the Old Mill, Castlerea.  Come along with your toddler and join the fun.
