Ballinlough/Granlahan Defibrillator Group would like to thank all who participated in the Walk/Cycle on St. Stephen’s Day,
It was a very successful event, proceeds will go towards keeping equipment up to date. Anyone interested in training or if you would like to join the committee please contact any committee member, as this is a very important facility to have within our community.
A new initiative has been launched at Mayo University Hospital called a “Knowing my medicines” leaflet which encourages everyone to keep an update list of their medications. This will help you and hospital staff to safely manage medicines if you or a family member needs to come to hospital. This leaflet is available to print on the hospital website or copies are available from the Volunteer or Outpatient registration desks in the hospital.
Monday Meets 55+ will resume in The Communal House, Clare Court, Ballyhaunis on 7th January 2019. Guest speaker will be a representative from the Citizens Information Office. New members always welcome. Teresa Sweeney email address: tsballyhaunischamber@gmail.com
The Fahy School of Dancing, registered under the rules of An Chomhdhail, will resume in The Den (Demense) Castlerea on Friday January 11th 4pm to 6 pm. New beginners are welcome. Pre-school children are also catered for. Beginners welcome at any time during these hours. Contact: 087 3205 484.

Carrick National School will hold an Enrolment Evening on Thursday the 17th January at 7pm for parents hoping to enrol a child in junior infants in September 2019. This will be an opportunity for parents to meet the teachers, see the school and collect an enrolment pack. Enrolment packs will also be available from the office during the month of January.
