 Mission Sunday:

Next Sunday 22nd Oct 2017 is Mission Sunday. We are all asked to remember the missions on this Sunday. We remember and we pray for the many people, Priests, Brothers, Sisters and lay people, who left everything to spread the good news in foreign lands. They encountered many difficulties. May God Holy Spirit give them the courage, perseverance and grace, that they need to do Gods work.

 

Halloween Disco:

In aid of Jack & Jill’s playschool will be held in Campbell’s  Ballinlough, between 6pm & 8 pm, on Tuesday 31st of October.

Mothers Prayers Granlahan:

Mothers Prayers will resume in the Sacristy, Granlahan, on Wednesday nights @8pm. New Members always welcome.

 

The Harvest collection for the Support of the Priest of the Parish:

The autumn collection for the support of the Priest of the Parish, will be taken up on the weekend Sat & Sun  14th / 15th of October.

 

CHY4 Certs:

The CHY4 Certs will be distributed to houses with the autumn dues envelope. Please fill in this form if you are paying Tax and contributing €250 or more to the parish collections.

 

Granlahan Pastoral Council:

There will be a meeting of Granlahan Pastoral Council, on Wednesday 18th  October @8.30 pm.

 

Christmas Shoe Box Appeal:

The Children in Granlahan are supporting the Shoe Box Appeal this Christmas. If any family or individual in the wider community would like to take part, please leave your shoe box into the school. The boxes will be collected for shipping on Friday November 10th.  A charge of €4 applies for carriage.

 

Friday Night Club:

We are extending a final call for anybody interested in taking responsibility to run the Friday Night Club. If interested please phone Mary 087 9453043 or Ruth 086 8154153.

 

Knock Faith Renewal Events:

Catechism Studies – Thursday Evenings, from 7.30 pm (on going). An opportunity to study the Catechism of the Catholic Church to strengthen and renew your faith.

Friday 27th October, 7.30pm – 9.30pm“The Mass of Patrick” – workshop with Liam Lawton.

Saturday 4th November, 11am – 3.30pm – Workshop with Artists: Imogen Stuart & PJ Lynch.

Saturday 11th November, 11am – 3pmQuiet days for busy people – Shining a light in the darkness: Day retreat of quiet prayer & reflection.

Saturday 18th November, Concert 7.30pm. A sensational performance of this most wonderful, work by Handel, featuring the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.

Tuesday 21st November, 7.30pm – 9.00pm – The Amoris programme aims to support families and parishes as we set out on the journey of preparation to the World Meeting of Families, taking place in Dublin from 21st to 26th August 2018.

Saturday 25th November, 11am – 3pm – Stay awake so that you may be ready: Reflection Day on Parish Ministry in Advent.

Saturday 2nd December, 11am – 3pmDay retreat: spend a quiet day in preparation for the coming of Jesus at Christmas.

Martin Kennedy will be giving a WMOF presentation in Knock House Hotel at 7.30pm on Tuesday 21st November. Provisional title: “Training night for Conversations on The Joy of Love” – information for those wishing to lead “Amoris” course in their parish: we also hope to run the 6 part course in Knock in early
