The 44th Annual Eucharistic All Night Vigil at Knock: will take place on Wednesday 7th December, beginning with confessions in the Chapel of Reconciliation from 10pm, followed by vigil at midnight in the Basilica with Rosary, Candlelight Procession, Stations of the Cross and Holy Hour with Fr. Brendan Walsh, S.C.A. Concelebrated Mass will then take place at 4am with Fr. Freddy Warner, S.M.A. The Vigil will be available to watch live on the Knock Shrine website: www.knockshrine.ie/watch . “Living in Hope”Day Retreat with Deirdre Ní Chinnéide: will take place in the Prayer Guidance Centre, Knock Shrine on Saturday 26th November from 10am – 3 pm. At some point in our lives we experience darkness and even despair. Take some time out on a quiet day in God’s presence. Allow the light of his presence to shine a light in the darkness and lend us to new hope. Pastrol Council:  Following discussion between the Pastrol Council and our local undertaker, the coffin of a deceased relative, can now be taken out through the front door of our Church. If the next of kin so wishes.

 

Careers Expo 2016in Dunmore Community School on Thursday 24th November from 6 – 9 pm. As part of College Awareness week over 30 Third level Colleges, Universities, Institutes of Technology etc are hosting information stands. Open to the public – especially Transition year, 5th & 6th year students, their teachers and parents. Admission: free of charge.

Granlahan Senior Citizens Party: The Granlahan Senior Citizens Party will be on Sunday December 4th.

Starting with mass at 2pm. A Church gate collection for the Granlahan Senior Citizens party will be taken up on Sunday 27th November.

We need volunteers to take part in the grandparents mass that will be celebrated on next Sunday (27th), in Ballinlough & Granlahan churches. Would any grandparents, children, teenagers or adults, who would like to take part in these masses, please give their names to Fr. Joe as soon as possible.

 

New time schedule for adoration: Monday – 4pm to 7pm & Friday  -8pm to 9pm.

 

As this Sunday is the Feast of Christ The King: There will be adoration of the blessed sacrament to honour Christ Our King. There will be Rosary and Benediction.

Ballinlough Adoration: – 1pm – 3pm  Rosary & Benediction at 2pm.

Granlahan Adoration: – 1pm – 4pm   Rosary & Benediction at 2.45pm.

Cloonfad Adoration: – 12noon – 4pm Rosary & Benediction at 3.30pm.

 

Provisional times for Christmas Masses:
Christmas Eve: Ballinlough 8.15pm, Granlahan 7pm & Cloonfad 7pm.

Christmas Day: Ballinlough 10.30am, Granlahan 11.30am & Cloonfad 10.30am.

Christmas Confessions will take place after all masses in the three churches on the weekend of 17/18 December.

 

The New Time Schedule for weekend masses will commence on the first weekend of December.

Ballinlough Saturday 3rd December at 8pm, Cloonfad Sunday 4th December at 10.30am & Granlahan Sunday 4th December at 12 noon. This will then be the time schedule of masses for the next four months.

 

Mass for Road Traffic Victims:Sunday 20th November is the day for remembering all who have lost their lives on our roads.  A special Mass will take place at 12 noon at Knock Basilica, followed by a gathering and refreshments in St. Johns Rest & Care Centre. All are welcome.

 

Faith Pageant: – taking place at 6pm at Knock Basilica on Sunday 20th November. The Pageant will travel through a Biblical tableau from Abraham to the Nativity with prayers, narration and music and will end with a live crib followed by refreshments in St. John’s Rest & Care Centre. This is a community, family friendly evening and all are welcome to join us.
