News from Knock Shrine:  The Archdiocese of Tuam has three new seminarians:

Maurice Whelan, a native of Sylane, Tuam and currently Roscahill, Co Galway, retired principal of Scoil Mhuire in Moycullen, will be heading off to the Beda College in Rome shortly.
Martin Dunne, a native of Tuam and Co Kildare, a past pupil of Gardenfield NS and St. Jarlath’s College, a secondary school teacher and guidance counsellor and Kildare senior footballer, has already arrived in the Irish College in Rome.
Neal Smith, from Minesota, USA, a civil engineer, arrived recently in Maynooth and is settling in well.  We wish them all well and keep them in your prayers.

Granlahan Community Centre Committee would like to acknowledge and thank everyone who supported our annual sports day.   Thank you to those who sponsored prizes for our raffle and all who came along and supported on the day.   Thanks to Kieran and his Fás team and all the volunteers who helped out on the day.   It was a great success.   All funds raised will go towards the upkeep and maintenance of our community centre.

Yoga Classes with Bridie Lyons will commence at Enterprise Kiltullagh building on Thursday 21st Sept @ 8pm.   Further information: Bridie at 086 6064050.

Aerobics with Patricia will commence4 at Glavey’s Community Centre on Monday 18th Sept @ 7.30pm.   All welcome to improve fitness while getting in shape.

Online Banking:  On behalf of Bank of Ireland, a presentation on online banking and security will be given by Regional Digital Arran in Granlahan Community Centre on Monday 18th Sept. @ 12 noon.   Organised by Active Retirement, this is open to the public.   All welcome.

Ballyhaunis Enterprise Town is being held on 22nd and 23rd September 2017 in Scoil Iosa National School Ballyhaunis.  Ballyhaunis Enterprise town will be opened officially by local Minister Michael Ring on Friday at 5.30 and there will be music, chat and displays showcasing all that Ballyhaunis and its surrounding areas has to offer.

On Saturday 23rd  Ballyhaunis Enterprise Town  will start at 11am with IFA President Joe Healy and our special guest the legendary voice of Gaelic Games Michael Ó Muircheartaigh in attendance.  Seven local national schools will participate in a blitz to win the Ballyhaunis Enterprise Town Cup.  With over 100 business, schools and community groups registered to date it promises to be a fantastic event.
This event is FREE to all to attend and to display at.  Registration Forms to be completed and returned to Bank of Ireland Ballyhaunis by Tuesday 19th September.
