Astro Turf Plaque at Carrick National School

Explore Your Creativity – Proposed new informal Creative Writing Group hope to meet on Friday evenings (weekly or fortnightly) commencing on Friday 27th February in the Williamstown area. Open to all, from complete beginners to more experienced, providing an enjoyable and supportive environment to all writers whether poetry, fiction memoir or other. Bishop Denis Nulty launches new ACCORD research on marriage and families. 65% agree that a child is more likely to grow up happy if raised in a home with a loving mother and father. Most young people view marriage as a life-long commitment. In recent years family has achieved increased importance in people’s lives.
BCS Lighthouse Bank – 7 Transition year students from Ballyhaunis Community School are competing in the “AIB Build a Bank” competition. They aspire to raise mental health awareness across the community and aim to help young people foundate themselves for a better financial future.
