Fr. Benny McHale will give a talk on Lent and Easter in the Community Centre, Granlahan on Wednesday 18th March at 8pm.  Everybody is welcome and invited to this talk.  I would ask parents/guardians of children receiving First Holy Communion and Confirmation to attend if possible.

Astro Turf Opening – All are welcome to the official opening of the Astro Turf Pitch at Carrick National School next Friday 6th March at 12 noon.  Light refreshments will be served.

Granlahan Foroige Club  Elma Walsh, mother of Donal, will be visiting Granlahan Community Centre on Wednesday 11th March at 7pm.  She will speak about her inspirational son Donal, his legacy, his powerful message regarding suicide and mental health and his strong faith in God.  Collection on the night for the “Donal Walsh Live Life Foundation”.  Refreshments served.  All welcome.

25 Card Drive in aid of Granlahan Foroige Club will take place on 2nd March in Granlahan Community Centre at 8.30pm sharp.  Tickets on sale for €5.  Great prizes up for grabs.  Refreshments served.  Please support.

Tuam Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock Archbishop Neary will lead the Tuam Diocesan Pilgrimage to Knock on Sunday 3rd May.  The ceremonies will commence with the Blessing of the Sick at 2.30pm.

Care of the Churches

– Ballinlough – Sincere thanks to the people of Cloonlee who took care of the flowers during the month of February, would the people of Mountain Upper and Lower to look after them during the month of March.

– Granlahan – Many thanks to Group A who took care of the church during the month of February, would Group B look after it during the month of March.  Group B – Fiona Ruane, Maureen Burke, Kathleen O’Gara & Pauline Neary.

The Trien Players present a three act comedy “The Two Lovers of Gabriel Foley” on Thursday 5th, Friday 6th and Sunday 8th March at 8.30pm in the Trinity Arts Centre, Castlerea.
